The muscular styling and attractive mesh grill give it a bold and memorable look, while the overall size has been widened and lengthened, offering a larger interior than previous models. The Trax has also been lowered, giving it one mean stance.
The roomier interior, while more comfortable and spacious, can barely hold the beefed-up tech suite that will have you riding in comfort and convenience. Standard and optional features will have you dropping your jaw at how much has been packed into this compact SUV. Each trim has a unique interior and exterior styling, with details that highlight their distinct character. The Trax is not necessarily a powerhouse, but with a 1.2L Turbo I-3 engine, you are sure to feel the power, nonetheless. Plus, with a turbo engine at its core, you will experience better fuel efficiency. The LS and LT Trims
The LS is the most subtle of the trims, with simple details, letting the overall new look speak for itself. The LT is also simpler, with a few pops thrown in for fun. The 17-inch machined aluminum wheels and a specialized exterior trim show the LT is ready for a spin on the town. Its interior is highlighted with black and cool gray accents. Sophisticated and understated, the LT shows just enough individuality.
The 1RS, 2RS, and ACTIV Trims
The 1RS and 2RS are sporty personalities, with specialized RS badging and black bowtie emblems on the interior. The 2RS also features red accented seats and a special steering wheel inspired by a traditional racecar style. ACTIV is the highest trim, with a unique exterior featuring titanium chrome accents. 18-inch black aluminum wheels and a rugged rear skid plate elevate the ACTIV further. The ACTIV has special Evotex seats that protect against daily wear and tear, along with black bowtie emblems that make the ACTIV the classiest trim of the lineup.
